CA Glue Accelerant

By: on 5 January 2021
I got this tip from a wood working blog.... Mix 70% Iso-30% Water solution and use in spray bottle as an accelerant for Cyanoacrylate Glue ( Super Glue). Spray or rub a little solution onto the opposite surface to that carrying the CA Glue before pressing surfaces together. IT WORKS A TREAT! ....and is far cheaper than the commercial " Activators" or "Accelerators" any of which have Isopropyl Alcohol as the active ingredient anyway

Airbrush reducer and cleaner

I spray water borne Airbrush paints (Createx paints) which are automotive quality. I use alcohol for s component in reducer 1. 175ml of Distilled Water 2. 75ml of Alcohol 3. 10-15 drops of Glycerin (helps flow) Cleaner: 1. 100ml of Windex (get ammonia free - it eats chrome finish over time) 2. 150ml Distilled Water 3. Approx 70ml of Alcohol 4. 10 drops of Glycerin

I use to clean suspension forks, shock absorbers and break rotors on mountain bikes. It cleans without leaving unwanted residue.

Cleaning off thermo setting glue after using &quot

By: on 7 August 2018
I've just started a new hobby, removing dents from my 3 cars, by myself, utilising a hot melt glue gun, glue tabs, and a slide hammer. I use 100% isoProply for; 1 - cleaning the paintwork prior to glueing 2 - removing any stuck hot melt glue from my car's paintwork. I just squirt a little over and around the glue, and peel it off easy peasy! This is so much cheaper than using Isoscol from the chemist!!
