Rubbing Alcohol

Hi there,

We are currently experiencing an excessive number of orders and phone calls regarding our best sellers, Isopropyl Alcohol and Hand Sanitiser.

We understand there is a high demand for these products due to the climate of the world at this stage, we are trying our best to get products out to those who most need it.

We apologise that we have not been able to reply to your emails as quickly as we usually do, as you can understand we are extremely under the pump and are trying to be

proactive as possible.

At this stage, we will not have stock of the Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) until late April. We are producing some Antibacterial Hand Sanitiser, however, most are committed to orders. If we have any extras, we will place them on the website where you will be able to purchase them. All availability of each product will be outlined on the website, no need to call the office.

As a hidden secret tip, we are telling our valued customers to sign up for the ‘notify me’ button on each product page by inserting their first name, last name and email address.

Once the stock is back in the warehouse you will be notified immediately through email.

Please be aware that the stock is under high demand, you will need to get in fast in order to secure yourself a pot of gold.

We will only be accepting orders through the website, please do not try and call to place an order over the phone as you will be redirected to the website.

At this stage, we are setting a maximum purchasing quantity limit of two when selecting the same product, only on current in-demand products.

We believe this is only fair to keep everyone safe and protected.

We have the right to refuse orders with excessive quantity, as for bulk ordering there will be no refunds provided, as seen in your local supermarket’s policy.

In regards to hand sanitiser, we have our own formulation that is private and not for the public eye.

We are more than happy to provide you with an MSDS for the product however, you will need to do your own research as there are too many variations when creating your DIY version.

Please note, we will not be responding with a recipe or recommendations.

Attention all existing customers: if you have been a loyal, reoccurring customer of Sydney Solvents for the last six months or longer, please email all enquiries and orders to, stating your company name, username or email address. Please note we will be checking all information to guarantee you are an existing customer. If you are not an existing customer, your email will be disregarded.

Isopropyl Alcohol 70% is mainly known as rubbing alcohol. If you haven’t heard of rubbing alcohol before you’ve probably walked passed it in the supermarket aisle known as Isocol. Rubbing alcohol can be used to clean make up, disinfect wounds, kill mealy bugs and many more uses.

Cleaning and disinfecting make up brushes we recommend using 70% Isopropyl Alcohol. You can use rubbing alcohol to clean make up brushes to kill the bacteria, which means less transfers of germs and you won’t see breakouts as you won’t be passing over germs as the rubbing alcohol will kill them.

You can use rubbing alcohol to disinfect wounds on the skin as the dilution makes it safer to use on the skin. You can also use Isopropyl Alcohol 70% to kill mealy bugs. The reason you would choose 70% over 100% when it comes to killing mealy bugs is because the higher moisture content in the rubbing alcohol means that it will stay on the bugs for longer, allowing it to work and kill the bugs.
