2025 Business Person of the Year – Dean Douglas

Winning Specialised Business of the Year in 2024 was a huge milestone for our team. It acknowledged the consistent effort we’ve put into becoming a trusted supplier of quality solvents and chemicals, backed by fast service, competitive pricing, and genuine care for our customers.

And now in 2025, we’re honoured to announce that Dean Douglas, our co-founder and director, has been awarded Business Person of the Year.

Dean started Sydney Solvents with nothing more than a vision, a lot of determination and a ute. In the early days, it was just him, personally delivering products and building customer relationships one order at a time.

Fast forward to today, Dean has grown Sydney Solvents into a thriving business with three warehouses, a passionate team, and tens of thousands of loyal customers across Australia. Through every challenge and every milestone, Dean has led with grit, humility, and a relentless commitment to quality and service.
