Rust Inhibitor refers a petroleum-based product that provides corrosion protection to the cooling system of all petrol, diesel, and gas fuelled engines where anti-freeze anti-boil protection is not needed. Extends the period between coolant changes.
Rust Inhibitor can provide protection by the following:
• Light commercial and passenger vehicles - 5 years / 200,000kms
• Heavy Duty Vehicles – 1,000,000km/12,000 hrs / 6 years
(When good quality water is used as directed)
How To Use:
Use Rust Inhibitor at 80-100 ml per litre in distilled water. If required, top up with diluted inhibitor to avoid a rundown in concentration. Replace at 24 month / 40,000Km intervals. May be replaced more frequently depending on engine and driving conditions, or engine manufacturers’ requirements. To avoid possible incompatibility problems, do not mix with any other inhibitors or coolants.
When the vehicle is cool, drain the cooling system (including heater), as per vehicle owner’s manual, thoroughly flush and rinse clean with correct volume of coolant. Refer to the vehicle owners handbook for the volume needed. Do not mix with other inhibitors or coolants. Fill through top opening of cooling system. Reconnect all hoses, drain plugs, etc. check level after engine has reached operating temperature and allow to cool again. Any spillage on paintwork should be flushed off with water. Dispose of used material in accordance with local regulations
If swallowed DO NOT induce vomiting, give a glass of water and seek medical advice. If skin contact occurs, remove contaminated clothing and wash skin thoroughly. If in eyes, hold eyes open and flood.
